Lena Seawell Shepley, age 83, of Carthage, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Priest Hill Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Archie Stevens . Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore Co., she was the daughter of the late John Bynum Seawell & Emma Neal Seawell. She was a graduate of the 1948 class of Highfalls school and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Shepley; brothers Clyde and Clarence Seawell; granddaughter Carol Denise McNeill.
She is survived by: children - Carolyn McNeill and husband Larry, Larry Shepley and wife Denise, Brenda Warf and husband Billy and Betty Jo Russell all of Carthage; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
