Leoma Williams Barber, 90, of Cary went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Spring Arbor of Cary.

 The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Friends Church on 13942 NC Highway 24/27, Eagle Springs, NC 27242 with Pastor Quint Dunlap officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Friends Church on 13942 NC Highway 24/27, Eagle Springs, NC 27242, NC.  Also, online condolences may be made at www.pinesfunerals.com.

Leoma was born on October 12, 1933 in Moore County to the late Charlie and Etta Jane Currie Williams.  She married the late Morris Lee Barber at Pleasant View Friends Church on August 20, 1954. Leoma attended Cleveland Bible College in Ohio where she met her husband, Morris. She later completed her degree at North Carolina Central University. Leoma was a retired Case Analyst with the NC Department of Correction. She loved spending time and doing things with her family and reading. She loved the Lord, and we rejoice that she is home with Him at this special time of year.

In addition to her parents and husband, Leoma was also preceded in death by brothers, Lewis Williams and Forrest Williams and sisters, Arlene Williams Monroe and Yvonne Williams Horner and nieces, Diann McNeill Powers, Judie Williams Fulbright and Sandra Williams DeHart and a special nephew, Brian Williams.

Surviving are her sons, Jonathan Craig Barber and wife, Brenda of Mount Holly, Marcus David Barber and wife Dawn of Apex, and Bradford William Barber and wife, Trish of Liberty; and daughter, Marcia Barber Gooch and husband, Steve of Cary; grandchildren: Cherryl Barber Rushing and husband, Nic of Inman, SC; Christyl and Carole Barber of Mount Holly; David Barber and wife, Lindsey of Raleigh, Catherine Foster and husband, Harry of Lynchburg, VA, Kimberly Barber of Raleigh; Joshua Gooch of Cary; Aaron and Leah Barber of Liberty; great grandchildren: Kamden, Karis, Kensley, Braylee and Brody Rushing of Inman, SC; Tripp Barber of Raleigh; and Katla Foster of Lynchburg, VA; brothers, Floyd Williams and wife, Greer, J.D Williams, Darrell Williams and Wayne Williams and wife, Connie and sisters, Maxine McNeill and Mary Etta Brown; and many beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cemetery Fund, Pleasant View Friends Church, c/o Greer Williams, 1071 Talc Mine Road, Robbins, NC 27325.
