Leon F. Howard

Leon Franklin Howard, 93 of 2491 NC. Hwy 22 passed away on December 10, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Leon was born on April 27, 1915 in Moore County to the late Frank and Flossie Howard. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Catherine and brothers Lester of Winston- Salem and Wendell of New Bern. Brothers Ben, Robert and Lennings and sisters Virginia, Maude and Edith, preceded him in death.
Leon was a carpenter and farmer; he was an Air-Force Veteran and served in World War II. Leon was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church and following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 1535 North Moore Rd. Robbins, NC. 27325
