Carthage:
Lester Thomas Morgan, 82 of 9848 Hwy 24/27 died Saturday, February 14, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Rock Hill Friends Church, with the Rev. Tom Powers and the Rev. William Cashion officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Morgan was a native of Moore County, he was a retired employee of Stanley Furniture and attended Cool Springs United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Azra and Annie Williamson Morgan, his wife; Ruby Morgan, brothers; Floyd and Joseph Morgan and sisters; Louise and Gladys Morgan.
Surviving is brothers: Leonard Morgan and wife Pauline, James Morgan and wife Jeanette, Clarence Morgan and wife Barbara, Roy Morgan and Kenneth Morgan and wife Kay all of Carthage.
Sisters: Pauline Priest of Carthage, Dorothy Williams and husband George W. of Eagle Springs, Doris Garner of Robbins, Beulah Ritter and husband Richard of Robbins and Deloris Lassiter and husband Arnold of Robbins.
The family will receive friends 6:30 " 8:30 PM. Monday, February 16, 2009 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins and other times at the home of Deloris Lassiter 577 Marley Rd. Robbins.
