Letha J. Gilbo, age 80 formerly of Cameron died Wednesday (September 2, 2009) at Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Cameron United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. David Johnson. Burial will follow in Cameron Cemetery.
A native of Montgomery County she was a daughter of the late Tommy J. Richardson and Fannie Mae Jarrell Burrough Richardson. She worked for several years with Texifi in Sanford and also worked for 18 years as a volunteer for the D.A.V. Auxiliary where she served as past State Commander and many other offices. She was a long time member of Cameron United Methodist Church and was past president of the United Methodist Women. Governor Hunt awarded her the Order of the Long Leaf Pine. She was preceded in death by: her husbands Arthur H. Richardson and Rowland J. Gilbo; a daughter Rebecca Richardson Coe.
She is survived by: sons Tommy Richardson and wife Sandra of Carthage, David Richardson and wife Kathy of Sanford, Danny Richardson and wife Cathy of Cameron; daughter Martha Livingston of Texas; grandchildren T.J., Dave and Jonathan Richardson and Sara Livingston; great-grandchildren Koby and Ryan Richardson.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 —8:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage and other times at the residence of Tommy and Sandra Richardson.
