Lettie Pearl Freeman Rosser McNeill 96, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Sandy Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Candor, NC.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7 , 2015 at Bible Tabernacle Church, where she was a member, with Phil Enlow officiating.  Burial will follow in the Charlie-Grace Memorial Garden at Summer Hill Baptist Church, Carthage, NC.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 12:30.

 

Lettie Pearl was a native of Moore County, who loved helping others, caring about their well being, reading her Bible and spending time with family and friends. She worked in the textile industry as a looper for many years and retired from the Carolina Hotel. She was a daughter of the late Charlie Merrill and Ruby Pearl Yow Freeman and was preceded in death by husbands: Joseph Carlton “Bud” Rosser and C. Clifford McNeill; brothers: Paul Freeman, Charlie Bascom Freeman, Dewey Freeman, James Rowland Freeman, John Thomas Freeman, Jesse “Pete” Freeman, Albert “Pamey” Freeman, Nathan Bragg Freeman, Daniel Wesley Freeman; stepson: Clifford Yow; niece that she raised Alice Tyner Coley.

 

Lettie  Pearl is survived by sister: Bertha Smith Burgess, of Robbins; brother: Vernon “Jim” Freeman, of Biscoe; nephews: Wesley Smith and wife Janet, of Robbins, R. L. Smith, Jr., of Thomasville; niece: Patricia Parsons and husband Bryan of Garner; many more family members and friends.

 

Memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
