Lillian Ruby Brooks, age 91, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her residence.

A private family service will be held at a later date

A native of Bell County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Walter Raleigh Miracle, Sr. & Estella Howard Miracle. She was a supportive military wife to her husband of 65 years, Glenn Preston Brooks. She was a member of the Silver Foils and a former member of Pinehurst Country Club and was an avid golfer. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Otis Miracle and Everett Miracle.

Survivors include her children, Beverly Smith & husband, Rodney, of Aberdeen ; Ellaine Burwell & husband, Robert, of Whispering Pines; grandchildren Jessica Medlin & husband, Dion, of Oak Creek, Colorado; Amy Cunningham and friend, Jeff Willius, of Montpelier, Vermont; Robert Burwell & wife, Aleia, of Hickory, NC; Katelyn Burwell of Pompton Lakes, NJ; one sister, Mary Miracle Delay, of Pinehurst; one brother, Rev. Walter Raleigh Miracle Jr., of Chicago, IL; and one great granddaughter, Hannah Medlin, of Colorado.
