Lillie Muse Cagle, age 90,  of Carthage, passed away, Saturday, May 27, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family.  This was one day short of the 8 year anniversary of the death of her husband, Norman C. Cagle.

 

Funeral services will be  2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2017  at Culdee Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Joseph Washburn officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Hill Cemetery, Carthage, NC.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM, in the Fellowship Hall, and at other times at the home of Richard and Sandra Craven, 219 Summerhill Church Road, Carthage, NC.

A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late David Alton and Mary Florence Everett Muse.  Lillie was a homemaker, who loved caring for her home and family.  She enjoyed  time spent with her family.  She loved caring for her garden, cooking wonderful meals and reading Amish books. In addition to her parents, and husband, Norman, she was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Lillie is survived by daughter: Sandra Craven and husband Richard, of Carthage,  son: Larry Cagle and wife Beverly, of West End; daughters: Judy Wells and husband James, of West End, Rhonda Shields and husband Stan, of Carthage; grandchildren: Tamara Lee and husband Edward, Shannon Cagle, Carolyn Walters and husband Russell, Jennifer Weiner and husband Mike, Shirley Shields, Norman Shields and wife Kelsey; great-grandchildren: Kinsey Lee, Rebekah Lee, Anna Lee, Matthew Walters, Sara Walters, Kayla Weiner, Asher Shields.
