Lillie Mae Fox, died Saturday (July 31, 2010) following her 103rd birthday party at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Alston's Chapel United Church of Christ on Haw Branch Road. The Rev. Mrs. Mary Green, Pastor; the Rev. Dr. Vernard D. Dowdy and the Rev. Charles Chalmers will conduct the service.
A native of Moore County she was preceded in death by her mother Fannie Fox. She was a graduate of Peabody Academy in Troy, NC and attended State Normal (now Fayetteville State University). Lillie Mae was loved my many family members and friends.
She is survived by: nieces Elizabeth Reives, Elaine Mellix, Julia Hill, Natalie Smith, Mary Reives-Spence; nephew Arthur Fox; many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at her residence in Carthage.

I’m sorry to read of the loss of Ms. Fox. She truly experienced the benefit of Psalm 90:10 living such a rich life. Please accept my condolences.
