Linda Kay Godwin Oxendine, age 75 of Carthage passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Halls Memorial Church conducted by Pastor John Stinnett. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00.

 

A native of Onslow County she was a daughter of the late William James and Callie Estelle Frazier. Linda retired from Schleicher & Co Of America Inc in Sanford.

 

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful friend to everyone who knew her.

 

She was preceded in death by her first husband Jimmie Deal Atkins; sisters Ruth Kellum, Evelyn Cavenaugh; brothers Roy Lee Godwin and George Godwin.

 

She is survived by: her husband Weldon Oxendine; step-children Angela Holder of Asheboro, Donna Robinette and husband Michael of Sanford, William Oxendine and Weldon Oxendine, Jr. both of Carthage; sister Ann Aman of Dunn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
