Cameron   Lois Ray McKenzie, age 85, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at her residence.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday (May 8, 2014) at New Home Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service.   She was the daughter and grand-daughter of Baptist and Presbyterian Missionaries to China.  A graduate of Baylor University she attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft Worth, Texas.   She and her husband worked together for years leading and developing therapeutic camps for emotionally disturbed children.  She was active in WMU,  loved animals and was very much into Gods nature and physical fitness.  She was an artist, prolific writer, director and playwright.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford McKenzie, a son, Kent McKenzie, two brothers, Daniel Ray and David Ray and two sisters, Marian Ray and Mary Dee.   Survivors include three daughters, Karen Collins & husband, Bill of Fair Play, SC; Kayla Gibson & husband Tim of Cameron; Kobi Hart & husband, Scott of Louisville, KY; two sons, Kris McKenzie & wife, Rosemary of San Angelo, TX and Kerry McKenzie & wife, Pebbles of Bahama; and 19 grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Wilderness Road Therapeutic Camping Association, 133 Camp School Lane, Fair Play, SC  29043   Fry & Prickett Funeral Home is serving the McKenzie family.   Condolences may be made at
