Lonnie Franklin Maness

Lonnie Franklin Maness 77, of Robbins, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 13, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Lindsay Collins, Reverend Robert Kidd and Reverend Ralph VonCannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Lonnie was a native of Moore County. He was a carpenter and worked in the textile industry for many years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening with his wife Shirley, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lonnie was preceded in death by his loving parents John Alsie and Lizzie Cockman Maness.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Maness, daughter: Dee Ann Purvis and husband Danny, of Carthage, grandchildren: Christopher D. Purvis and wife Pearl, of Carthage, Brandy Jade Purvis Garner and husband Brandon, of Carthage, and three great grandsons, who loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC.
