Lonnie T. Jacobs 70, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.
Lonnie was born in Dillon SC on May 3, 1950 to the late Chapman and Mary McDougal Jacobs. He worked with his family on the farm growing up. Lonnie was a loving son, brother and husband. He enjoyed his family and time spent with friends. Lonnie could talk with anyone and liked to meet new people. He loved caring for his animals, like rabbits, goats, chickens and his dogs. Lonnie liked to ride his bicycle and would even ride his lawn mower around town. Linda, his wife of 31 years remembers that he loved his “snack food”. Lonnie was preceded in death by sister: Christell Ervin; niece: Esther Collins Ramirez.
Lonnie is survived by wife Linda; sister: Wanda Hale and husband Allen, of Randleman; brother: Daniel Jacobs and wife Mary, of Robbins; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great nieces, 7 great nephews; 2 great great nieces, 1 great great nephew and many friends.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Home with the Reverend Allen Hale officiating. Due to COVID 19 restrictions no public viewing or visitation will be held.
