Reverend Lovell R. Aills devoted husband and father passed away at home on March 21, 2025 at the age of 89.

He was a United Methodist Minister who served 41 plus years in the North Carolina Conference.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Mattox Aills, his daughters Lori (Mark) Wade and Lisa (David Kaplan) Aills, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Pinehurst United Methodist Church on March 25, 2025 at 3 PM.

I was so saddened to learn of Lovell’s passing. My heart goes out to you all during this difficult time. Lovell was such a kind man and had a way of making people feel good – it was like experiencing the presence of Christ. Peace be with you all.
