Lucille Baber Emmons, age 93, died Wednesday, April 9th at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

 

A viewing will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Putnam Friends Church with the Reverend Billy Joe Brady  and the Reverend Robert Lee Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home.

 

A native of Moore County she was the daughter of the late Raymond J Baber and Bertha Seawell Baber.  She was a graduate of Carthage High School and is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Emmons; three brothers, Lester Baber, Carlis Baber and Ray Baber.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Matthews & husband, Dale of Snow Camp; two sons, Kenneth Emmons & wife, Vicki and Perry Emmons & wife, Tobbie both of Robbins; five sisters, Mary Edith Kidd, Mae Callaway, Wilma Diedrich, Irma Tessitori and Carol Lee Williams; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice House, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC  28374, Putnam Friends Church, 136 Putnam Church Road, Carthage, NC  28327 or donor’s favorite charity.
