On January 2, 2021, heaven gained a beautiful Angel, Lucille Bowyer, 76, of Robbins, NC.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a ray of sunshine with her beautiful smile.  She loved watching birds, doing crafts, growing flowers and going to yard sales. She was so loving and kind in life, a piece of her will live within each one of us for generations to come.

No worries now Mama, Rest in Peace.

Lucille was preceded in death by father: Douglas Bowyer; mother: Lillie Mae McCormick; sisters: Shirley Brown, Polly Hill, son: Aldean Hazelwood.

She is survived by daughter: Tina Lynch and husband Michael, of Supply, NC; son: Anthony  Todd Hazelwood, of Robbins, NC; 4 granddaughters: Rhonda Lynch, Kelly Gaddy, Katira Hazelwood, Patches Hazelwood; 2 great grandchildren: Tala Leviner, Dylan Leviner, 1 great great grandson: Leo Ferguson; 3 brothers: Douglas Bowyer and wife Debbie, Billy Bowyer and wife Brenda, Michael Bowyer and wife Robbin; 4 sisters: Sara Webb, Betty Coward, Peggy Newman and husband Lonnie, Joann Webb and husband Harold; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A private family viewing was held on January 2, 2021 at Kennedy Funeral Home.

A private memorial service will be held at Middle Cross Baptist Church, West End, NC at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

We have lived as Lucille’s neighbor for almost 20 years; she was a great friend and wonderful neighbor. Her beautiful smile, sweet, kind and loving heart and her giving spirit will never, ever, never be forgotten. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you Tina, Todd and the family.   6. I’m so very sorry for your loss, Tina, Michael, Rhonda, Kelly and all the family. What a beautiful tribute to a life well lived. I only met her briefly but liked her immediately. She was a lovely lady. It’s obvious where you get your heart, soul and love for family from Tina. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts.

  7. Tina, Todd, and family, I am so sorry to hear of Lucille’s passing. We all go back a very long time. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Lucille for a very long time. She was a genuinely sweet lady. Although we didn’t see each other after work, I still considered her to be a great friend. She will surely be missed.
