Eloise Greene Ward, age 71 of Ellerbe died Thursday (February 6, 2014) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage conducted by the Rev. Troy Wiley. Burial will follow at the family home in Ellerbe.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Avery M. Greene and Mable Rouse Greene Freeman. She was a member of Shiloh Tabernacle and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter Terria Dawn Brewer and grandson Robbie Speer.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Ward; daughters Terria Brewer of Carthage and Regina Ward of Ellerbe; sons Shelton Brewer and wife Herlinda of Carthage, Vincent Brewer and wife Paulina of Carthage, James Brewer and longtime girlfriend Virginia Morgan of Carthage, Sandy Scott Brewer; step daughters Cynthia Brown of Starke, FL and Melinda Grady of Calabash; step sons Johnny R. Ward and wife Liz of Southern Pines, Ralph Jay Ward of Jacksonville, FL, Roger W. Ward of Keystone Heights, FL; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at the home of Shelton and Herlinda Brewer, 1125 S. McNeill Street, Carthage.
