Mamie Burns Maness, 88 of Robbins died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Pine Lake Health and Rehab; Carthage.
Funeral service will be held 2: 00 PM. Friday, March 6, 2009 at Bright Light Baptist Church, where she attended, with the Rev. Ralph Voncannon officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest cemetery.
Mrs. Maness was a native of Moore County, after retirement she was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by parents; Frank and Lilly Burns son: Vernon Freeman, daughter; Willa Jean Freeman; brother; Madison Burns.
Surviving is: husband Colon Maness of Robbins.
Daughters: Freida Upchurch of Robbins, Libby Garner of Carthage, Rebecca Davis of Star, Edna Stewart of Biscoe, Brenda Freeman of High Falls and Swannie Grant of Eagle Springs.
Sister: Melvie Craig of Eagle Springs.
A loving Grandmother to 17 grandchildren 34 Great-grandchildren and 6 Great-Great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 7 " 9 Thursday at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter Freida Upchurch 575 Sunset Dr. Robbins.
