Margaret Woodard Walker passed away at the Coventry, St. Joseph of the Pines, on Sunday September 18, 2011.
Margaret was born in Dewey, OK.. on July 16 1920 to Clarkie Scudder Woodard and C. Earl Woodard. She attended Oklahoma A&M where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and Engineering Queen. She was married to Sidney T. Walker Jr..for 63 years, until his death in 2006.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Walker Sudberry, of Houston, TX Her children and their spouses, Mary Margaret and Don Evans of Pinehurst; Tom and Suzy Walker of The Woodlands, TX and Johnny and Cynthia Walker of Great Falls, Montana. Her grandchildren and spouses; Lisa and Jake Zapalac, Stephanie and David Goodman, Sara Walker, Michael Walker, Car and Heidi Evans, John Evans and Katherine Evans and her great-grandchildren, Kate, Abbey and Sam Zapalac and William, Sydney and Reese Goodman.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Coventry and FirstHealth Hospice for their loving care over the past few years.
A memorial service will be held at St. Martins Episcopal Church, Houston, TX at a later date.
