SOUTHERN PINES- Marjorie E. Daniels, 85 died Monday, May 30, 2011 at her residence after a long battle with diabetes.
Mrs. Daniels was born in New York, NY to the late Reginald and Eleanor Chandesh Barrow. She graduated from New York University with a BA and Masters degree. Marjorie taught in the Public Schools of Long Island, NY for many years.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty nine years Everett. Her marriage to Everett who served with the British Intelligence during WW11 and later was affiliated with General Motors in their Overseas Division where they served in Pakistan, Mexico City, and Venezuela. While in Pakistan Marjorie worked with illiterate and blind children. She was a resident of Southern Pines for the past thirty two years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Ellis officiating interment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow the service at Powell Funeral Home.
