Marjorie Thomas Whitesell, age 88 of died Friday (March 14, 2008) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services 3:00 PM Sunday at Cameron Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Wayne Greene. Burial will follow in Cameron Cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late J.L. and Mattie Lawrence Thomas. Her husband Vernon Whitesell preceded her in death. For many years she worked with her husband at Whitesell Brothers, a home improvement store now Eastwood Diner. She also belonged to the B.P.O. Does in Southern Pines, and earlier in life she was a great basketball player and dancer.
She is survived by: a brother Lloyd L. Thomas of Cameron and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 —8:00 PM Saturday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
