Mark Anthony Ray

Mark Anthony Ray, 50, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022. 

Mark was born September 21, 1971 to the late Elbert and Louise Saunders Ray.   He was a graduate of North Moore High School.  Mark enjoyed being outdoors, deer hunting, fishing, especially surf fishing, along the coast.  Mark worked with his family operating a sawmill business.   He loved spending time with all his family.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister: Wanda Gail Ray.

Mark is survived by daughters: Elizabeth Jane Ray, Ann Marie Ray; sisters: Mary Jacobs (Daniel), Rebecca Marshall (Kevin); brothers: Wayne Ray, John Ray, David Ray, Joshua Ray; 5 nieces, 2 nephews and many friends. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Kennedy Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Melchin and Ed Armfield officiating. Burial will follow at  Mt Tabor Community Church Cemetery, Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
