Marsha Darlene Maness

Mrs. Darlene Maness, 66, was born on November 30, 1959, in Moore County and passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at the Hospice House in West End.

Darlene leaves behind her loving husband of 26 years, Roger Dean Maness. She is also survived by her daughters, Heather Ludwig and Crystal (Thomas) Hill; her son, Travis (Mary) Yarborough; as well as her 10 grandchildren: Zoey Ludwig, Kai Ludwig, Diego Marroquin, Devin Yarborough, Drake Thurman, Deja Hill, Raileigh Hill, Desaree Hill, David Overton, and Sabastien Yarborough, who brought great joy to her life.

She also leaves behind her sisters: Diane Barber and Cathy Sutherland of Vass, along with her sister-cousin, Belinda (Junior) Smith of Candor.

Darlene loved thrifting and going to yard sales, but most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She had a special fondness for her beloved Chihuahua, Sweet Pea, who was a treasured companion.

Her family remembers Darlene as funny, lighthearted, and someone who could bring laughter and joy to those around her. Her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her will miss her deeply.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026. Lying in state will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend a reception following the service at her son Travis’s home, located at 196 White Rock Road in Vass.
