  1. So sorry to hear about Mrs Frye. I always liked math, so obviously she was one of my favorite teachers. I can’t count the times she said “Do you get what I say?”, and surprisingly I did. They don’t make teachers like that anymore. R.I.P. Mrs Frye, you will be missed.

  2. One of my favorite teachers. Shall always remember her encouragement…and her tireless acceptance of my “tom foolery”.

  3. Martha Frye was an exceptional teacher, a fine lady, and a role model for many of us, for those who were her students and those who were priviledged to work with her.

  4. Mrs Frye was my home room teacher: she was strict, witty, and always helpful. When having problems with math from others teachers (namely Mr Stanley and Col Dawson), she would smile and offer simple, easily understood explanations. A great teacher and I only had her for home room.

  5. Mrs. Frye was a good algebra teacher at Union Pines. She made learning easy. She was away easy to talk to. RIP Mrs. Frye. You lived a long long good life.

  6. She was a wonderful teacher and someone I truly admired. “Aunt Martha” has had a huge impact on so many lives. I will miss her.

  7. What an amazing life! She was always so pleasant around UPHS! My thoughts are with her large and wonderful family!

  8. She was a great teacher to me and many others. She instilled an interest in math that led me into engineering and science. Thank you Mrs Frye, we will miss you.

  9. Such a great lady! One of the best teachers at Union Pines High School Here’s to a life well lived. Prayers for the family.

  10. Mrs. Frye was an inspiration to me to be a better student. She exhibited the qualities of an excellent teacher and lived a wonderful and true Christian life.. May God richly bless her in eternity.
