Mary Florence Prevatte Nunnery

Mary Florence Prevatte Nunnery, age 72 of Carthage died Saturday, January 18, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Community Friends Church in Carthage conducted by Rev. Kenneth McNeill and Rev. Robert Kidd. Burial will follow in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery. 

A native of Bennettsville, SC she was a daughter of the late Everette and Martha Roscoe Prevatte. She lived all of her adult life in Carthage and was a friend to many. 

She was preceded in death by two sons Bill Nunnery and Tommy Nunnery; a brother James Prevatte. 

She is survived by her husband of 54 years Carl Nunnery; daughter Linda Ross and husband Paul of Robbins; son Carl Nunnery, Jr. of Carthage; sisters Alma Prevatte of Wingate, Virginia Price of Marshville, Doris Tacy of Ruby, SC, Teresa Hopkins of Albemarle; brother Everette “Pete” Prevatte, Jr.; seven grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday.
