Mrs. Mary Hunsucker Black, age 95, of East Bend, formerly of Carthage, died Friday (September 22, 2006) at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center in Winston-Salem.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Summer Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Carthage, NC, conducted by the Rev. Mark Elmore and the Rev. Clint Branch.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hunsucker. She was preceded in death by her husband Thad H. Black.
She is survived by daughters Myrtle Ratledge and husband John Lee Ratledge and Laura Bray all of East Bend; sons James H. Black and wife Ann of Charlotte and Ed Black and wife Jonnie of Vass; a sister Elizabeth Maples of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren;
fourteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren
