Mrs. Mary Hussey Hampton, age 72 of Jackson Terrace, died Sunday (December 23, 2007) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services 2:00 P. M. Friday at St. Augustine A.M. E. Zion Church conducted by
The Rev. ClintonW. Edwards, Jr. and the Rev. Waddell Goodman.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Ada Johnson Hussey. She was a former employee of Stanley Furniture Co. in West End.
She is survived by: husband Winfred Hampton of Vass; five daughters Janet Mason of Aberdeen, Pam Dowdy of Carthage, Kay Hampton of Raleigh, Lisa Ross and Hope McKinnon both of Carthage; two sons Winfred Hampton, Jr. of Monroe, GA and James Hampton of Philadelphia, PA; four sisters Betty Brandon, Charlotte Johnson and Clarissa Baker all of Philadelphia, PA
and Helen Collins of Willingboro, NJ; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7:00 —8:00 P.M. Thursday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home.
