Mary Lee

Mary Shizuko Lee of Graham, NC entered into rest January 8th, 2021.

A longtime resident of Takoma Park, MD, she was born in Stockton, CA.

She is predeceased by her father Katsuzo Tamura, mother Hidi Yamano; husband Arthur Lee Sr., brothers George & Robert, and sister Jane (Nishimoto).

Mary’s family endured hardship during WWII at the interment camp for Japanese Americans.  Later, inspired by her father’s illness, she sought to help others and became an RN.  While obtaining her degree she found faith in the Lord and as a long time member of Capital Memorial SDA church in Washington, DC, she shared her love with others through many outreach ministries. She will be remembered as kind, warm, hardworking, no-nonsense but extremely caring person. Loved and missed by her daughter Dorothy Tovish and husband Stephen, son Arthur Lee Jr and wife Sally, granddaughter Krista Lee and grandson Camden Lee.
