Mary Ludwig Wills of Rockingham died Saturday, (February 5) with her children by her side at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
A family graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, (February 8) at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery in West End.
She was born September 20, 1943 in Moore County to the late Clarence P. and Margaret Moore Ludwig, and was a homemaker. Mary was a devoted mother and wife. She loved her family and her friends. She loved to laugh and make people laugh. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She had a certain 'spunk' about her that will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hall 'Jack' Wills, Jr.
She is survived by: her daughter Jacqueline Wills Britt and husband Tommy of Laurinburg; sons John Hall Wills, III, and William Burke Wills, II of Rockingham, Thomas Cameron Wills and wife Kim of Charleston; brother, W. Tommy Ludwig of Dania, FL; grandchildren, Mary Taylor, Curt and Katherine Britt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan Colony, 136 Samaritan Drive, Rockingham, NC 28379 or Richmond County Humane Society, PO Box 2064, Rockingham, NC 28380.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
