Mary Ruth Peak, age 67 died Tuesday, (1/11/2011) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM on Friday (1/14/2011) at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Boyce officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm prior to the service.
A native of Ohio she was the daughter of Clarence White and Evelyn Plaka. Prior to moving to North Carolina three years ago, she lived in Warren, PA for 19 years. Mary was a proud member of the Women of the Moose, Lodge #552 in Lorain since 1971 and held the office of College of Regions. Her hobbies included: Bingo, arts and crafts, gardening, and dancing.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Morris and step sons, John and Jerry Peak.
She is survived by her husband, Estil 'Dewey' Peak of Aberdeen, daughters, Suzy R. Clement & fiance, Johnny Norris of Whispering Pines, Margie Schweizer of Carthage, and a son, Scott Morris & wife, Kim of Lorain, Ohio; three step children, Joe, Dewey, Jr and Deloris Peak all of Lorain, Ohio; a half sister, Sandy Yurko of Cleveland, Ohio and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Fry and Prickett Funeral Home is serving the family.
