Mary Teel

Mary Martin Teel, age 97 of Pinehurst died Tuesday , (August 1, 2017) at her home.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Powell Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. David Helms. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery.

 

A native of Durham she was the last of five surviving children born to Charles and Elizabeth Brockwell Martin. Early in life, she worked for American Tobacco Company in Durham where she met her husband Zeno “Z.B.” Teel who passed away in 2015. Together they enjoyed 73 years of marriage.

 

She is survived by her daughter Judy Teel of Pinehurst and several nieces and nephews.

 

Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines is serving the Teel family.
