Michael Ray Chriscoe, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2023. 

Michael was born in Montgomery County. He graduated from East Montgomery High School  and served his country in the United States Army for over 11 years. He worked in the molded plastic industry for Sapona Industries. Michael loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing or just caring for his yard, he enjoyed God’s creation.  Michael loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Bethel Church of God.  He will be remembered as a loving, faithful and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was a son of the late Graham Chriscoe and was preceded in death by grandchildren: Riley Gardner. Victoria Scofield.  

Michael is survived by his wife of 16 years: Patsy; daughter: Jonie Gardner; son: Zachery Duke (Ashley); mother: Martha Odom; grandchildren: Christopher Spivey, Keegan Duke, Madison Spivey, Frank, Scofield, Michael Scofield; sisters: Carolyn Brown (Cam); Belinda ;  and many nieces, nephews and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and his dog “Mollie”.

A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Bethel Church of God with Pastor Larry May officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1 PM at the church. Burial will follow in the Asbury Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Church of God, 1183  Chrisco Road West, Seagrove, NC 27341.

  5. Mike was a wonderful and caring person. All of us cousins had lots of fun growing up together. As we got older, married and had children, we weren’t together much. But those beautiful memories were, and still are. Prayers for the family and friends. May God bless everyone.
