Mickey Doss Sheffield, age 73 of 2480 Niagara-Carthage Road died Wednesday (July 16, 2008) at her home.
A private graveside service was held at Pineywood Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Charles Lassiter and the Rev. Mitchell Roller.
A native of Rockingham County she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Julia Hardy Doss. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Sheffield. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
She is survived by daughters Janet Felix and Sharon Sheffield both of the home, Linda Johnson and husband Howard of Carthage, Cheryl Sellars and husband Barry of Rockingham, Kim Terry and husband Bob of Hubert; a sister Betty Ashburn of Vass; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at 2480 Niagra-Carthage Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374 or to donors favorite charity.
