Mildred Mid? Furches, 90, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. in Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst, NC with Rev. Rod Stone officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Adaville Baptist Church Cemetery in Spindale, NC with Rev. Cal Sayles officiating.
Born August 16, 1918 in Spindale she was a daughter of the late Monroe and Ada Moore McDonald and wife of the late Douthit Lawrence Doc? Furches and was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth M. Nash, five brothers, Fred McDonald, William Howard Shorty? McDonald, James Monroe McDonald, Kenneth Tanner McDonald, and Billy A. McDonald. She was a graduate of East Carolina University and was employed as a home management supervisor at the Farm Security Administration USDA (1939-1944). During her husband
Mid was a dear, loving friend whom I met many years ago through our Community Presbyterian Church.We still kept in touch regularly after I moved to CA in Oct. 2006. She will be missed.
