Mildred Teague Moore, 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at her home.

A native of Moore County, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Ola Brown Teague.  Mildred graduated from Westmoore High School.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.   Mildred was a homemaker, co-owner of Westmoore Motor Service with her husband, Kivan and owner of “Country Pots” Pottery Shop.  She carried on the family tradition of making functional pottery for everyday use. Mildred loved her church family at Robbins First Wesleyan Church.  She participated in the Moore County Senior Games and was an avid reader.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Kivan Moore and 4 siblings.

Mildred is survived by daughters: Janet Freeman and husband David, Jennifer Garner and husband Ronnie; grandchildren: Emily Davis, Daniel Garner and wife Heather, Paige Alford and husband Scott; great grandchildren: Bradley Brown, Lane Starkey, Gabe Starkey and Hadley Garner; sisters: Lois Richardson and husband Jack, Geneva “Jenny” Rushing and husband Larry, Ruby Bruns; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 4. 2023 at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Cameron Dockery. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, November 3, 2023 at Kennedy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Robbins First Wesleyan Church, 240 E Moore Street, P O Box 397, Robbins, NC 27325.

Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Moore Family.

  7. To the family, my sincere condolences. I am so sorry. Prayers lifted for the entire family. Molcy and I got to visit with Mildred last month. Such an enjoyable , relaxing visit. She made us feel right at home. Our visit was a surprise one for her as we stopped by on our way home to give her some freshly dug sweet potatoes from Candor. She welcomed us inside as if she was expecting us. Such a sweet lady. Mildred will be missed. 🙏🏻❤️
