Mittie Comer Williamson 102, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Peak Resources Pinelake Nursing and Rehabilitation, Carthage, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 17, 2017, at Needham’s Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member. Pastor Dennis J. Harry along with Reverend Arnold Comer and Pastor James Cockram officiating, Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 PM. The family will receive friends other times at the home of Don and Kathy Elam, 183 Cuffey Pond Rd, Robbins, NC.

Mittie was native of Randolph County. She grew up on a farm with good parents and 12 siblings. Mittie worked for over 52 years in textiles at Robbins Mill. She loved the Lord and caring for her family. Mittie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Mittie was fortunate enough to live to see five generations of her family for over 13 years. She was a daughter of the late Coy and Florence Comer and was preceded in death by her husband: Ollie William Williamson; sons: Bobby Williamson, Hal Williamson,; daughter: Diana W. Dickinson; granddaughter: Marcia Adams; great grandson: Jeremy D. Dickinson; sisters: Edith Yow, Ethel Kennedy, Mattie Needham, Lola Upton; brothers: Ted Comer, Bill Comer, Tracy Comer; daughter in law: Jane Williamson; son in law: Herbert Garner.

Mittie is survived by daughter Geneva W. Garner, of Robbins. Grandchildren, Kathy Elam and husband Don, Michael Dickinson and wife Donna, Kim Black and husband Bam, Ricky Dunlap and wife Teresa. Great grandchildren, Phil Elam, Lynn Pennington and husband Chris, Karmen Black, Lars Black, Miles Dunlap, Trevor Dunlap, Preston Hannah, Lindsay Hancock and husband JR, Trenton Dickinson, Megan Adams. Great Great grandchildren, Logan Pennington, Callie Hancock. Son in law, Jerry Dickinson. Sisters, Evelyn Caviness, Helen Ritter, Betty Caviness.  Brother, Carroll Comer, Arnold Comer, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to Needham’s Grove Church, Teen Center Fund, 359 Needham’s Grove Road, Seagrove, NC 27341.
