Monroe “Bud” Brown, 80, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at Peak Resources Pinelake Nursing Facility, Carthage, NC.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Crossroads Baptist Church, Robbins, NC, with the Reverend Mike Holyfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30.
Bud was a native of Moore County. He served his county in the National Guard. Bud loved farming and seeing things grow. He loved to hunt, especially quail hunting with a good dog or turkey hunting. He was a son of the late Hugh T. and Ocia Cockman Brown and was preceded in death by sisters: Myrtie Kennedy, Maxine Vest; brothers:George Junior Brown, Argene Brown.
Bud is survived by brother: Tracy Brown and wife Sherry, of Carthage; sisters: Lois Priest and husband Joe, of Carthage, Josephine Crabtree and husband Carlton, of Elkhart, Ind.; many nieces, nephews and friends.
