Mrs. Faith Ellis Burke

Mrs. Faith Ellis Burke, age 81 of Carthage, formerly of Fairfax, VA, died Monday (October 2, 2006) at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 P.M. at Gainesville United Methodist Church in Gainesville, VA, conducted by the Rev. John Patterson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Fairfax she was the daughter of the late Claude and Lucy Haislip Ellis. She retired as the Fairfax County Tax Supervisor. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Vie Dunbar, Claude Ellis, Jr., Lawrence Ellis and Blanche Allen.
She is survived by: her husband Walter W. Burke, Sr. of Carthage; two sons Wally W. Burke, Jr. of Carthage and David D. Burke of Oak Island, NC; a sister Mrs. Lucy Ritchie of Chantilly, VA; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the Gainesville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall after the funeral services.
