Mrs. Lola Monroe

Mrs. Lola Monroe, age 92 of Monroe Rd., died Monday (January 8, 2007) at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday at Red Branch Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chris Dickerson, the Rev. Robert Morrison
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Surry County, NC, she and her parents the late Charlie and Etta Eades Atkins, moved to Moore County when she was a young girl. She married E. E. "Blue" Monroe in 1969 and was an active member of Red Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son Bobby Monroe and a brother Roy Atkins.
She is survived by: her husband E. E. "Blue" Monroe; a daughter Phyllis Johnston of Charlotte; a son D. R. "Pete" Monroe and his wife Rose Marie Monroe of Charlotte; a half-sister Gail A. Bottoms of Carthage; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grand- children; five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 P. M. Tuesday at Red Branch Baptist Church and at other times at the residence.
