Myrtle Ida Ritter

Myrtle Ida Ritter, 91  died Monday, September 22, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.  

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Tal Madison officiating.

 

Myrtle was a native of Moore County, born October 27, 1922.  Myrtle worked in textiles and as a poultry grower. She  loved gardening, spending time at the beach and watching her nieces and nephews grow up. She had a beautiful, quiet spirit and was a loving daughter, sister and aunt.  

 

Myrtle was a daughter of the late Gilmer and Cladie Garner Ritter. She was preceded in death by  infant daughter, Betty Rose,  brothers: Cecil, Ellis, Grover, Bobby, Eli; sisters in law: Lillie and Montie Ritter, nephew Tommy Ritter; niece: Norma Ritter Maness.  

 

She is survived by sisters in law: Gaynell, Carrie, Maxine Ritter; nephews: Mack, David, Billy, Bernie, Kenny, Stanley, Ricky Ritter; nieces: Mary Comer, Inez Reynolds, Thelma Garner, Rachel Ritter, Shirley Hinson, Tarena Dunn; “grandchildren” Johnda Farlow, Chris Reynolds and Lindsey Reynolds.  

 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday   September 24, 2014 at  Kennedy Funeral Home.
