Myrtle Joyce Davis

Joyce Davis, age 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the abundant love of her family, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. 

She was born on October 4, 1943, in Wagram, North Carolina, to the late Walter Grady Davis and Myrtle Bullard. Joyce was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness. She dedicated many years of service to the Campbell Soup Company, where she worked in blending production for food manufacturing.

Everyone knew Joyce for her bubbly personality; she never met a stranger. She truly had a way with animals, especially horses, and loved spending her time reading and painting. Most of all, she adored her dog, Bella Grace, who brought so much happiness to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Myrtle; her brother, Vernon; and her three sisters, Bonnie, Ann-Marie, and Peggy.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Tracy Riley of Vass and Autumn Jacobs of Raeford. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Hailey Riley; her sister, Lillian Shirley Lane; two very special cousins, Daryl Davis and Ronnie Sears; three very special nieces, Jennifer Pate, Sydney Lane, and Hannah Ruiz; and many other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Southern Pines on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
