Nancy Frye Thompson, age 73, died Wednesday (4/20/2011) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Carthage with the Rev. Dan Underwood officiating. Burial will follow at Summer Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was the daughter of the late Colon James 'Bobby' Frye and Effie Livengood Frye. She worked many years for Carolina Telephone and later retired from the Moore County school system where she was a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Thompson and two brothers, Richard Frye and Algene Frye.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Richardson and husband, Michael of West End and four grandchildren, Noah Richardson, Rebekah Richardson, Abraham Richardson and Enoch Richardson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and other times at 1162 Doubs Chapel Road, West End.
