Natalie J. Hollingsworth, age 100 of Southern Pines died Friday (August 5, 2011) at her home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Powell Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Dr. David Helms. Burial will be at Hillside cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
A native of Plainfield, NJ she was preceded in death by her husband Albert D. 'Bud' Hollingsworth, Jr., her childhood sweetheart. In the 1960's Natalie and her husband became pilots and enjoyed making frequent trips to Allentown, PA in the evenings to watch the sunset and enjoy pie and coffee before returning home. Natalie was a lover of all animals and birds. One of her most memorable quotes was, 'I always look forward to tomorrow.'
