It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neva Hogan Sherry, who passed away
peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North
Carolina, at the age of 80.

Neva is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Joseph Michael Sherry, her brother,
Ralph Raymond Hogan, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, her two daughters, Sharyn Michelle Campbell of Pinebluff,
NC and Nicole Marie Campbell (Kathy) of Flowery Branch, GA and her sister-in-law, Lois O. Hogan
of Folsom, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Raymond Hogan, Sr. and Neva Marie Brown Hogan and her
brother Roger James Hogan (Lois).
Born on June 10, 1945, in Long Beach, California, Neva grew up in the New Orleans, LA area. In her
youth, she was an active member of her church, Parker Memorial United Methodist Church and sang in
the choir, she was a member of the local garden club and participated for many years in the Girls
Scouts and Boy Scouts. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA.

Neva moved to Pinehurst in 1978 where she dedicated her time to volunteering at the local Hospice,
The Pinehurst Women’s Exchange and other charities. She was an avid reader, enjoyed visiting local
pottery shops and traveling. She supported many religious charities, animal rights charities and St.
Jude Children’s Hospital, among many others.

Per Neva’s wishes, there will be no public services. She will be interred at Pinelawn Memorial Park in
Southern Pines, with a private family gathering.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Neva’s
honor.

Services are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home & Crematory of Aberdeen.
