A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Ernest and Nina Harmon Sheppard. Noal was a commercial electrician by trade and lived life to its fullest. Known to be the one who always wanted to see you smile and make you laugh, you could often times find Noal at Jones Skating Rink in Aberdeen drinking a room temperature Dr. Pepper and showing off his skating skills to anyone who was watching. Over the years, Noal hung up the skates and moved back to West End to spend time with family. Watching his great nieces and nephews grow up was one of the highlights of being back home.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael Sheppard; brother William B. Sheppard; sisters Maphry Adams McCoy and Virginia Bumgarner.

He is survived by his brother Frank Sheppard of Aberdeen; sister Brenda Corea of Fresno, CA. Those who might miss him most will be his great nieces and nephews as they always knew where he was and looked forward to seeing him.

Fry & Prickett Funeral Home is serving the Sheppard family.

  1. Frankie, I am so sorry to hear of Noel’s passing. He is the only one to ever get me close to a snake! Those were the ‘golden days’ at the lake.
