Nora "Teenie" Marie Hussey

Nora “Teenie” Stutts Hussey 94, passed away, Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Teenie  was a native of Moore County and attended Westmoore High School.  She worked in the poultry and textile industry and was a homemaker, caring for her home and family. Teenie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.  Teenie and her husband JC loved to garden and care for their yard.  She enjoyed canning and freezing the fruits of their labor.   She especially enjoyed making and canning kraut every year.  She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Smyrna Church. Teenie loved her family and was especially proud of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The family will remember home cooked meals, a sweet smile and a beautiful laugh. Teenie was a daughter of the late James Kermit and Elizabeth Davis Stutts and was preceded in death by husband of 72 years, James “JC” Hussey; siblings: Reese Stutts, Margie Williams, Vernon Stutts, Benny Stutts, Paul Stutts, Patsy Stutts.

Teenie is survived by son: Farrell Hussey and wife Sandy;  grandchildren: Jamey Hussey and wife Christina,  Jared Hussey and wife Jamie; great grandchildren: Jaxon, Jimmy, Abigail; sister: Jewelene Cagle; brother: Billy Stutts;  many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 4, 2026  at Smyrna Church Cemetery, with the  Reverend Farrell Hussey officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the Smyrna Family Life Center.

In lieu of  flowers memorials may be made to Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, P O Box 1661, Robbins, NC 27325 or FirstHealth Hospice, 155 Applecross Drive, Pinehurst, NC.
