Olivia Patterson Griffin, age 85 of Tara Plantation and formerly of Vass died Sunday (September 17, 2006) at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Vass of which she was a member for over 50 years. The Rev. Bill Davis will conduct services and burial will follow in Johnson Grove Cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Thelma Gilmore Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband V. Ray Griffin and was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vass Rescue Squad.

She is survived by: her sons George Griffin and Thomas Griffin both of Vass, Michael Griffin of Hickory; sisters Virginia Caddell, Frances Cockman, and Carlotta Maples all of Carthage; grandchildren Anna, Elliot and Lesley Griffin, Cortney Nessen, Heather and Meagan Griffin; great-grandchildren Griffin Siviglia, Simon and Lily Nessen, Makayla Blue.
The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday.
