Opal Chriscoe Blue, age 82 died Saturday at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Eureka Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Ed Boyce and the Rev. Laura Dunlap. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service and following the service.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Andrew Lloyd Chriscoe and Lula McNeill Chriscoe. Opal owned and operated the first licensed childrens day care facility in Moore County - Jack and Jill Day Care for 27 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband T. Elwin Blue; brothers John R. Chriscoe, Lloyd H. Chriscoe, Sr, sisters Betty Lou Caddell, Lynna Davis and Louise Michael.
She is survived by: daughter Judy B. Riddle and husband Billy of West End; sons Tommy Blue and wife Michelle of Carthage, Daniel Blue of West End, Travis Blue of Carthage; sisters Jody Rowland of West End, Nancy Bibey of Carthage, Shirley Forrest of West End; brothers Andrew Blue Chriscoe of Sanford and Roger Chriscoe of Robbins.
