Mrs. Opal Elizabeth Calicutt Kennedy, 89,  wife of the late Kenneth Lee Kennedy and the precious mother to Kevin D. Kennedy, J. Neal Kennedy and L. Brian Kennedy, passed away, to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, March 26, 2018.. She was so loved by many and will be missed by all.

Opal was a native of Robbins, NC, the daughter of the late Jeanette Francis McNeill and John Currie Callicutt.  She loved gardening, cooking, reading, quilting, sewing and was a wonderful friend, mother and true inspiration to so many.

She was a true caregiver and devoted years of life to her First Baptist Church in Robbins.  She sincerely loved and lived for Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. A good and faithful servant, she was.

Her survivors include son: Kevin Kennedy and wife Maria, grandsons: Cameron and Connor, Son: Neal Kennedy and wife Kelli and Kelli’s son, AJ McDonald and son: Brian Kennedy and wife Kristy, grandson: Cade.

Memorial  service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Robbins First Baptist Church with the Reverend Danny Meetze officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Rest cemetery in Robbins

Visiting with the family will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, NC.

Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Robbins, 651 East Hemp Street Robbins NC 27325.

Kennedy Funeral Home is serving the Kennedy family.
