Born in: Moore Co, North Carolina
Resided in: West End, North Carolina

Pamela McKenzie Lynthacum, 67, went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, February 17, 2024. A native of Moore County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Darius McKenize and Shelby Boyette Callicutt, and her sister, Diane Mercado.

Pam was a loving mother and adored each of her children. Nothing gave her more pleasure than to be in the company of her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Pam loved family in general, enjoying time spent during holiday gatherings and family reunions. Pam’s work history primarily consisted within the textile industry, but wherever she worked, she did the jobs with vigor and grace, creating lasting friendships and instilling an amazing work ethic within her children.

Pam enjoyed watching wild birds, especially hummingbirds, in her yard and caring for her chickens while she had them. She had flowering bushes and trees along with potted plants that she tended with much love and joy. Pam’s greatest love, outside her family, was her beloved Shih Tzu, Soxs, who sadly passed away in September 2023.

Pam is survived by her six children: Pamela (Mike) Rouse of Pinehurst, Becky (Chris) Cranford of Candor, Gina Huddleston of Raleigh, Valeria Clark of Laurinburg, Randy Lynthacum of Troy, and Jamie Lynthacum of West End; her siblings: Wesley (Sherry) McKenzie, Mike (Diane) McKenzie, Patricia (Barry) McCormick, and Lee (Beth) McKenzie; eight grandchildren: Michael, Stephen, Tyler, Andrew, Samantha, Daniel, Jason, and Nacoma; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Nall officiating. Burial will follow at the Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
